What do to in Armidale?

Where to stay?

The DDB organisers recommend staying with our 2018 event partner Rose Villa Motel, located on the northern side of town on the New England Highway. The Rose Villa Motel is a small, friendly, family operated motel offering guests an affordable and relaxing stay in the glorious New England area of NSW. The motel is set on five acres of grounds with a rural outlook. Where to eat?

The New England Hotel

Armidale has some fantastic food venues and none better than The New England Hotel at 198 Beardy Street (on the corner of Dangar Street). The “Newie” is a partner of the DDB and offers locals and visitors a great brasserie menu for lunch and dinner as well as a wonderful selection of beer and wine. Visit Armidale’s most historic hotel for an evening meal before the big event or drop in for lunch afterwards. Contact the Newie on 02 6711 1186

Gold Fish Bowl Bakery & Café

If it’s a good coffee, a decent sourdough bread or an awesome breakfast you’re after, head over to the Gold Fish Bowl, an Armidale stand-out on the café scene. Fridays are also pretty special at the Gold Fish Bowl - it’s wood-fired pizza day and they are definitely not to be missed!
